ABOUT THE EXAM: OSCE OVERVIEW
The PEBC Qualifying Exam is a registration requirement for pharmacists in Canada. The exam tests for knowledge and skills expected by an entry-to-practice pharmacist, and consists of two parts - Part I (multiple choice) and Part II (objective structured clinical exam OSCE). The exam is based on the nine competencies outlined by NAPRA, each with assigned weightings and pass level. The exam is offered three times per year.
The OSCE portion of the Qualifying Exam consists of 11 stations as follows:
9 of which are interactive cases and 2 of which are non-interactive cases.
These stations are organized into two sessions, and 7 minutes are allotted for each station.
